Akureyri, the capital of the North, is only 3 miles away. Here, you can find all the necessary institutions for example supermarkets, petrol stations, tourist information or the beautiful Botanical Garden.
The comfortable and high-quality equipped houses offer space for up to 8 people with 3 bedrooms each. These houses are perfect for a family trip to Iceland. In the summer time, you have a magnificent view over Eyjafjord, while in the winter time, the neighboring skiing area invites you to have fun in the snow.
All houses are identically constructed and have been designed with a luxury interior. In each house, you will find a big bedroom with a king-size bed (63''x79''), a bedroom with 2 single beds (31''x79''), and an additional bedroom with 2 beds and 2 folding beds (31''x79'') above.
The houses also offer two bathrooms with shower and toilet, a washing machine and dryer as well as a baby crib. The modern and high-quality kitchen includes a dishwasher and is optimal for group cooking action. In the living room, cozy leather couches and a flat-screen TV invite relaxing film nights. Internet is also included in the price.
The hot tub is pure luxury and invites you to a relaxing bath. On the patio, you will find a high-quality BBQ and garden furniture, in which you can relax.
Sights and Attractions
The house is located in Northern Iceland. From here, many attractions of the North can be reached within a day tour. Lake Myvatn is popular not only for its relics of volcanic activity but also for its fertile plains and its diversified bird life. You should also not miss the Solfatara area Námaskard with its bubbling and sizzling mud and hot springs.
While driving between Akureyri and Myvatn you have to pay a visit to Godafoss, the waterfall of the gods, to see its huge falls burst out imposingly over the rocks.

GRENJADARSTADUR AND HUSAVIK
Westward between Husavik and Myvatn, you can find the turf farm Grenjadarstadur - a popular photo subject due to its grass-covered roofs. In Husavik, you can take a stroll down the beautiful and colorful house facades. Additionally, Husavik is the best place for whale-watching. With a 98%-chance of seeing a whale on one of the whale-watching tours, Husavik has become The whale-watching town.
