Arrival - Blue Lagoon - Reykjavik - Northern Lights

Blue Lagoon

When you arrive in Iceland your private driver will be waiting for you in the arrival hall. You will start your journey with a stop at the beautiful Blue Lagoon geothermal spa. Guests renew their relationship with nature, soak up the scenic beauty and enjoy breathing the clean, fresh air while relaxing in the warm geothermal seawater. After a relaxing bath your driver will take you to your hotel in Reykjavik. Check in starts at 15:00. If you are arriving earlier, you can safely leave your luggage at the hotel, while you go explore Reykjavik on your own. Reykjavik is excellent for shopping and you will find many products you can’t find elsewhere. Reykjavik is famous for many modern and good cafes and bars. There are restaurants and cafés of all kind.

In the evening, your private driver will pick you up for your evening tour. He will take you out of the city to the darkness of the countryside where The Northern Lights are at its best. Sometimes you can see the Northern Lights from Reykjavik. However, the city lights pollute the view of the northern lights, and the best way to spectate this unique
phenomenon is to drive far away from people.

Golden Circle - Secret Lagoon

Geyser Strokkur in winter

Today your private driver will pick you up for a Golden Circle and Secret Lagoon. This amazing day tour takes you around the Golden Circle to see three of Iceland’s highlights Gullfoss waterfall, Geysir geothermal area and Thingvellir National Park, before heading to The Secret Lagoon for a bath (approx. 1.5 hours). On this tour you can walk around the world-famous Geysir geothermal area, a geothermal field where hot springs are in abundance, geysers explode and pools of mud bubble. One of Icelands many highlights is the Gullfoss waterfall, the queen of Iceland‘s waterfalls. Thingvellir is the original site of the oldest existing parliament in the world. The Great Atlantic Rift is clearly visible, a rift that is slowly pulling Iceland apart along tectonic plates.

The Secret Lagoon is a beautiful thermal pool located in the small village of Flúðir in the heart of an area with high geothermal activity. The landscape around the pool is very geothermally focused with steam rising from the hot springs all around giving anyone who visits a surreal and mystical feel. The thermal pool is maintained at a constant temperature of 38/40 °C – lovely to experience at any time of year. Little pathways, geothermal hot spots and a small geyser, which erupts around every five minutes, are added attractions adjacent to the pool. You will find lockers, comfortable changing rooms, and showers, plus a bar and eating areas.

Reykjavik Food Walk

© Reykjavik Food Walk

Relax at your hotel before joining a Reykjavik Food Walk tour. In the afternoon you will meet your local guide for a tour of the Reykjavik Food Walk. On the tour you will get to know the fair city of Reykjavik, culture and most importantly its delicious foodie scene, all through a fun local guide. You will get to sample 8 fantastic traditional Icelandic dishes – both our essential comforting food that has sustained Icelanders for a very long time, as well as street food and a fine dining version of the Icelandic cuisine. You will experience all of this at a few of our favourite (hand-picked) restaurants right in the heart of Reykjavik. Total tour duration is about 3 hours.

South Coast

Seljalandsfoss

Today your driver will take you along the south coast of Iceland, one of the country’s most scenic regions, as far as Vík, a charming village surrounded by high beautiful bird cliffs. South Iceland is special in that it is one of the flattest regions on the island. As a result, nearly all grain farming in Iceland is done there. The high mountains to the north, shield the area from the harshest northern winds. Among the stops on this tour are the gorgeous Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss waterfalls. You will also stop at Reynisfjara black sand
beach, with the Reynisdrangar rock formations and columnar basalt. It is one of the most spectacular beaches in Iceland but can be quite dangerous due to powerful sneaker waves, and we kindly ask our guests not to go too close to the ocean and follow all guidelines. Total tour duration is about 10 hours.

Lava Tunnel - Sky Lagoon

Today your driver will pick you up and take you to the Lava Tunnel.  You will join others and explore the magnificent lava tunnel Raufarhólshellir, one of the longest and best-known lava tubes in Iceland.  The journey into Raufarhólshellir is a unique experience and a great opportunity to witness the inner workings of a volcanic eruption as one walks in the path of lava that flowed during the Leitahraun eruption, which occurred east of the Bláfjöll mountains about 5200 years ago. Every winter spectacular ice sculptures are formed inside the entrance of the cave making the experience of visiting the lava tunnel even more breathtaking. In the afternoon you will visit the new and one of a kind Sky Lagoon. Immerse yourself in the warm embrace of water, steam, and the fabled night sky of the arctic summer. Feel yourself unwind with the Ritual, a unique seven-step experience crafted by generations of authentic Icelandic bathing culture.

Reykjavik - Perlan - Hvammsvik

Hallgrimskirkja

You will start your day with a private city sightseeing tour. Your private driver will show you the highlights of the city, for example; Harpa, Hallgrimskirkja, Perlan. Perlan is an iconic building that hosts one of a kind nature exploratorium. It‘s a learning laboratory where visitors explore Icelandic nature through science and human perception. After the city tour you will drive to Hvammsvik Hot Springs. New, unique and authentic experience in unspoiled nature away from the crowds as you linger in eight natural hot springs that glide into the ocean surrounded by majestic mountains and black beaches.
