Arrival - Reykjavik

When you arrive in Iceland you will be tranfered to Reykjavik from the Airport. When you arrive at your hotel you are free to explore the city or partake in one of many excursions in the city and its surroundings.

The Golden Circle

On the Golden Circle Gullfoss-Geysir tour you can walk around the world-famous Geysir geothermal area, a geothermal field where hot springs are in abundance, geysers explode and pools of mud bubble. One of the Golden Circle’s many highlights is the Gullfoss waterfall, the queen of Iceland‘s waterfalls. The tour ends with the no less spectacular Thingvellir National Park. This is the original site of the oldest existing parliament in the world. The great Atlantic Rift is clearly visible, a rift that is slowly pulling Iceland apart along tectonic plates.

The Blue Lagoon is the perfect way to start a holiday on Iceland. Let go of your daily worries and feel the naturally heated blue water on your body. Swimming in the mineral rich water is a delightful experience no matter what kind of weather it is. At the blue lagoon you can get different kinds of massages and spa treatments in the water or you can enjoy the experience with a drink from the inpool bar. 

 

Whale Watching

Start your day with a three-hour whale watching trip from Reykjavik. Experience the amazing sight of dolphins and whales in line with nature. Along the south west coast, many different species of dolphin and whales live. The goal is to get close to dolphins, humpback whales and killer whales. The boat is specially made with large windows and plenty of seating inside. There is plenty of space on the deck. The trip starts from Reykjavik's old ship port, just a few minutes from the city center. On board the boat there is a guide that tells you about different types of whales, nearby places and Icelandic history. The tour is very interactive and educational, has internet access and toilets.

 

South Shore Adventure

Today you'll get to see why Iceland is such a unique country. The land is created by volcanos and formed by ice. It is truly a completely unique island and on this tour you'll see magnificent waterfalls, black beaches and breathtaking glaciers. You can see the world known volcano Eyjafallajökull on your way along the south coast. 

Your free to dispose the evening to your own wishes. we recommend that you use the evening to go whale watching. If you haven't seen these huge animals before, this is a perfect chance to do so.

Horseback Riding - Lava Tour

Icelandic horses

Experience the fantastic nature around Reykjavik from the horseback. The friendly Icelandic horses and its trainers will join you on this ride across the lavafields. The tour is on smooth gravel paths with great views over the green mountains. When the tour is done you'll be served a hot beverage and the guide will happily answere your questions if you have any. 

This tour is suited for beginners and you don't need a lot of experience to join. The Icelandic horse is calm and relaxed and a joy to ride.

Depending on your flight time you can enjoy your morning in Reykjavik before heading to the airport. Transfer from your hotel to Keflavik International airport.
