Snaefellsnes is a peninsula on the west side of the island and is a miniature version of Iceland. In addition to the charismatic Snaefellsjokuls glacier, there are also black beaches, bird cliffs, spectacular mountains, and volcanic craters. On this trip, you will be exploring the fishing village of Arnarstapi and Hellnar which is a historic fishing village. The trip is also via Djupalonssandur, a black lava beach, and the iconic mountain Kirkjufell.
The amazing landscape on the peninsula has taken over the dreams of people from all over the world, ever since Jules Verne wrote the famous book "Journey of the Center of the Earth".
