Day 2
THE PEARL TOUR – GOLDEN CIRCLE AND SNOWMOBILE
This SuperJeep tour takes you to all of the attractions of the famous Golden Circle tour and includes a visit to Langjokull glacier. On the glacier, you will drive a snowmobile on the thousands of thousands of years old glacier. This is a truly spectacular experience.
Before the snowmobile tour on the glacier, you will be taken through the Thingvellir National Park. This is the place where the first-ever democratic parliament was held. Following the national park is the thundering waterfall Gullfoss. After you have been amazed by the size and sound of the waterfall you will have the opportunity to see one of our world's most fascinating natural phenomena; Geysir. The Geysir Strokkur shoots boiling water high up in the air without warning. The eruptions happen every 5 to 10 minutes.
This off-the-beaten-track experience and the Golden Circle are a great way to see much of Iceland's unique volcanic and Nordic nature.
Today you will experience the wonders of the Blue Lagoon. A visit to the Blue Lagoon geothermal bath is an important part of your stay in Iceland. Guests renew their relationship with nature, enjoy the scenic beauty, and breathe clean, fresh air while relaxing in the warm geothermal seawater.
This is an exciting and fun way to explore the countryside in Iceland. The tour begins outside of Reykjavik in Lambhagi, which is right outside of Mosfellsbaer. You will be handed safety equipment and suitable clothing for the ride. After everyone is geared up you'll be introduced to the ATVs and get ready to hit the trails.
The tour starts on a gravel path next to Hafravatn and continues up the mountain path to Hafrafell. When you reach the top you'll have great views over Reykjavik and the surrounding mountains. Continuing along the route to Ulfarsfell, you'll enjoy even more breathtaking panoramas, with the possibility of catching a glimpse of the majestic Snaefellsjokull Glacier, weather permitting. Don’t forget to bring your camera to capture the incredible scenery!
Day 5
Snorkling in Silfra
Silfra is a fissure between the North American and Eurasian continental plates. Silfra constantly fills with glacial water that has been trickling through underground lava rock for 30 years. This remarkable crack between two tectonic plates is filled with the clearest water on our planet, allowing for over 100 meters of visibility. On the snorkeling tour, you will dress in a dry suit, and your guide will guide you through the four parts of the Silfra fissure. Floating through Silfra's crystal-clear water is an otherworldly experience; the near-freezing water, astonishing colors, and the sensation of flying provide a unique environment for floating meditation that you will never forget.
After an impressive and memorable trip to Iceland it is time to leave. Shuttle transfer from your hotel in Reykjavik to Keflavik airport for you flight home!
Note:
The Silfra snorkeling is not suitable for children under 12 years. The minimum age for the ATV tour is 6 years.
A wide range of optional excursions can be booked directly with us.
