Hotels – classification
Any place in Iceland offering an overnight stay has the possibility to be rated according to a classification of 5 groups (group 1, 2, 3 or 4, as well as assignment of stars). This classification does not in any way represent an exhaustive assessment of all services contained in the respective offer. The assignation of classes is based on more than 100 details. The Icelandic Tourist Board is responsible for the classification. You recognize participating houses at the blue-red symbol close to the front door, showing the current classification.
